I've been the victim of a home burglary as well. On my birthday no less. I was pissed. I wished I was home when they broke in the front door so that they could have "earned" their true reward.

In the end, it was "stuff" that was lost and insurance replaced most of it. The feeling of having your home violated takes a while to get over. Glad the family is safe.
