    Roof top fire place anyone? I actually thought this was kind of cool. However, I'm not sure if a bunch of foot traffic, chairs, and hot sparks directly on top of my flat roof is something I'd look forward to.

    I like it. Have seen several with EDPM rubber sheeting laid over flat roofs here, and a few have been loose decked with redwood or trex. Even white EDPM gets very hot here in summer, though a permanent canopy could make a nice patio area if you have safe access. Marshmallows, hot dogs and beer on the roof, an insurance guy's heaven. But, is the view worth it? Close neighbors and all....
