    Take it to Tim.

It's a quick job to knock off the existing barrel nut and put that thing on when you have the right tools and setup. The price of admission if you get to watch is worth every penny.

P.S. I've used both guys for different work and reasons, and you cannot go wrong with either, but the drive to Tim's for this kind of work is IMHO the best option for you.

Credit TFOGGER : Liberals only want things to be "fair and just" if it benefits them.
Credit Zundfolge: The left only supports two "rights"; Buggery and Infanticide.
Credit roberth: List of things Government does best; 1. Steal your money 2. Steal your time 3. Waste the money they stole from you. 4. Waste your time making you ask permission for things you have a natural right to own. "Anyone that thinks the communists won't turn off your power for being on COAR15 is a fucking moron."

Victors, sending you a PM.. I'm close, and will be in Colorado Springs tomorrow for work... let me know if you'd like a quick eyeball on what you're dealing with, or if you've already got it handled...

I can bring my AR wrench (from Guntech), torque wrench, and my upper vise block... I even have some shims if there are alignment issues with the nut... you'd just have to have a vise.

I'm not a FFL like Bert or Tim- but I have the tools required... you'd do the wrenching, but I'll let you know what to do.
your choice- I won't be be upset if you'd rather use a licensed FFL- but thought I'd offer since I like to wrench my own stuff

Look for my PM in your inbox... I'm finishing up some paperwork on some work I'm doing tonight and will send it.

If you are trying to save money and attach accessories I would recommend a magpul hand guard no special tools required for installation you can get rail sections to attach accessories or magpul products that mount directly to the handguard
