Anyone calling me from a number I don't recognize better leave voicemail as I rarely answer unknown numbers.

Self control: The minds ability to override the body's urge to beat the living sh.. out of some ass.... who desperately deserves it.
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

"There is no news in the truth, and no truth in the news."
"The revolution will not be televised... Instead it will be filmed from multiple angles via cell phone cameras, promptly uploaded to YouTube, Tweeted about, and then shared on Facebook, pending a Wi-Fi connection."
I was finally at home when one of these calls came through. I hit 1 to get the person, then when I was finally on with them, I put this on:
(NSFW obviously)
My boss got the call today. I was in his office when he answered it on speaker phone. It was Rachel from card services wanting to lower his interest rate. Made me think of this thread.
I probably get 5 - 10 of these Robocalls every week on my work issued cell phone. I add these phone numbers to the "Blocked Number" list on my phone and that keeps them from calling me from the same phone number, but there seems to be an endless list of bogus phone numbers they use. 99% of the time, if I hang up on the Robocall then immediately try to call the number on the caller ID it comes up as a disconnected number.
The phone companies know how and where these calls are coming from and they COULD do something about minimizing or reducing the Robocalls, but they could give a crap less because they make money on cell usage minutes every time you get suckered into answering these Robocalls. The FTC saying that its out of their control is total laziness on their part. They could start shutting down out of country IP's or whole subnets every time its leveraged for Robocalls. Eventually these Robocall chumps would run out of IP's to make cheap Ethernet based international Robocalls. Once countries run out of IP's or Subnets that have access to the US they should start policing the Robocall stuff on their own because the loss of US internet access would start to dramatically impact all US internet based business.
This stuff could be stopped but there is nothing financially to motivate the phone companies or the government to actually do something. They get paid the same, if not more to let everything chug along as it is.
Since the incident I have recieved no calls from rachael....![]()

or sometimes I get a guy on the line and I act like I can't hear him and I act like I'm trying to get to a spot where I can hear him, if time permits I will play that out for about 15 before I ask them to call back. If they do call back and it's the same guy I will simply say that I thought he was the guy calling about Russian mail order bride and I wasn't interested in blah blah.
