I think I'm at around 41. My friends applied for theirs in Jeffco a week after I did mine. I bet they'll get theirs first.

Zero! (Although I did pick up a CCW permit last year just to support the cause)

Support the cause of being ripped off to carry when it should be legal without a permit?

How long did you have to wait anyway? Still whatever the going rate was for the county?

My rationale was strength in numbers. I support legal CCW for everyone and felt I could add another name to the pile. The more WE are, the stronger WE are.

Later, I realized its extra insurance if I switch departments or go on admin leave for a work issue, etc. At least I can still carry that way.

Mine is a JeffCo permit and I waited as long as everyone else. Had to donate $152.50 to Sheriff Mink's campaign fund as well. I did get to skip the CCW class though. Helps being a POST Firearms Instructor.

Yes, being a POST instructor sure helps. I bet they didn't give you a hard time when you turned in your app.

Still had to wait in line for prints and then I had to answer a million questions about why I wanted a CCW if I am a LEO, blah blah blah.

Pretty traumatic, actually, and now I'm on the grid!
