Curiosity got the best of me, so I had to Google the specs, and holy cow, are we already up to 50 mega pixels!?!?

We've been well past 50mp for years (LEAF, H4/H5, Etc.) but this pushes things in the smaller bodies a bit. I've paid the money and have sourced the new glass, but the bodies aren't in hand just yet. The new glass far exceeds the cost of the new bodies

He's talking about $10k-30k cameras...
Nikon D810 was at 36MP and now Canon has upped the ante a bit with 50MP in FX (full frame) format bodies.
I'm a putz and shoot a used D7000. And I suck. The camera is usually much better than I am.
