Sad that I didn't get to ever do a shooting match in Colorado, but it turns out that the gun club on base here has different types of matches every Saturday and Sunday. I just have to purchase an eligible firearm (don't even get me started on this one), get it registered with the state, get it registered with the base, and then I can shoot at the gun club any time I want for $45/year. They have 25, 50, and 100yd ranges, along with a really nice skeet and trap house area. I'm excited. I learned my lesson and I'm not fooling around until it's time to leave before I get involved. I don't care how many hoops I have to jump through.

Can't speak to that but the Kirkland premade margaritas is purchased by the pallet in this household.

Low battery smoke detector chirp would go off in the early AM and force me to change it. Go outside in my boxers and no shirt, cuz I don't care, grab the 8ft ladder and swap batteries. Couldn't happen in the daytime, right? Noooo! Dammit.

We got a motion detected on the drive coming in. The herd of 20-30 elk set it off at 3am.

I do think the kirkland marg mix is really good.

Irving, that video was funny, but do those folks have any credentials for judging alcohol? For that matter, do I?

After doing a blind taste test (and being pretty familiar with Crown) I correctly guessed with about 90% confidence which was which, and I still prefer the Crown, but that is probably familiarity bias. The Kirkland one isn't bad, but it doesn't have the maple flavor that I've grown to like from Crown. If I score the Crown at 8/10, I give the Kirkland a 7.2/10. Lower score because it doesn't have the rich smell that I was hoping for and it was a bit harsher on the tongue. For the price, I'm pleased.

There is a gun store in this small town called "Tacti-Cool". I don't know whether to run toward it or away from it at top speed.

Absolutely not. They are a bunch of internet liberal journalists for Buzzfeed. There is one where they go out and shoot guns. Actually one of those videos was posted on here once upon a time.

I think I just spent the last 5 hours standing up a CentOS server (VM) on my laptop, installing all the junk needed to run a special storage performance monitoring app and supporting apache web service. Then had to install vpnc to get a cisco vpn tunnel setup to connect to the client storage to collect stats for the app. Hardest part was getting something going to move files between my other VM's. I couldn't get the VM host network to work properly (routing) in CentOS.

Probably would have taken a good Linux admin an hour or so.

    Thank God for yum.

    I'm burnt toast.
