that does sound like fun. I always wanted to take my truck out...but then again i could just go on a back country road because I won't hit over a 100

When I raced the first year I was running 17.00 quarter mile times.
The next year I had my car turbocharged and was running consistent 14.00s at 106 mph.
My best time was a 13.8, and if I could drive better I should have been a lot faster with those trap speeds.

This was in my 1990 Acura Integra. I miss that car.

if i was able to do this, this year, I would take my truck and bike. And I would let those that haven't ever been in a car down the track, ride with me in my truck. Its quite the experiance. I've never taken my truck down bandimere... its a tuned diesel so I am sure it would post something in the 15s or 16s. I know the OBDII reader I have can track 0-60 times based on the ECU and such and from memory, it reads about a 5.5 or 6.0 sec time.... its tons(In every meaning) of fun.

Oh and I would also highly recommend those who have never been in person to a drag strip, to go once to spectate.... My mom who has no interest in racing or is not a gear head. Loves watching, hearing, feeling them in person. She plays her own little game of guessing the winner.... "I think the yellow one there on the right is gonna win." LOL....

sounds like a blast! I remember watching the tractor pulls and they had a suped up twin turbo diesel GMC. they said it could run 12s or 13s. not sure if that is true, but the amount of black smoke it dumped out the semi-like exhausts was pretty damn cool to watch

My cousin's totally stock 1996 Ford F-250 was running a 16.8 back then.

ATS Diesel usually comes out and runs their 11-12 second trucks. They probably have one in the 10's by now as it's been like 5 years since I've been out. Running 12's in a diesel truck is cake.

My mechanic that helped my build my car had a newer Ford F-250 that was all souped up. When my car went on his trailer to the exhaust shop, he punched it and I was certain that was the fastest that car had ever gone in it's existence. lol

Here is that same guy's Honda Element beating a Mustang at Bandimere in 2008. Hope it gives you some inspiration to race this season. Or, it's for sale if you want to buy it.
