Isn't it actually a canebrake timber rattler on the flag?

Yes, I believe so. However, the diamond back design I felt lent itself better to this application.

I could see that, but I also like the pattern of the timber rattler and it could give the piece more strength by connecting the lines. All depends on the thickness and type of material. Right out of high school, I ran Amada CNC punch presses and CNC lasers.

    Lars,

I think it is absolutely awesome. I do agree the letters would be best displayed and easily recognizable as cutouts.

P.S. If you quote people on my ignore list, I see their idiot remarks, haha.

Using deductive reasoning I can conclude with 33% certainty who is on your ignore list.

It was supposed to be a joke, but now I'm not so sure.

I'm going to be ordering some steel patina in copper and a few other options and give it a try on a few of these to see how it turns out. If you have ordered a sign and would like to wait a little longer to see how this turns out let me know, for those that are just getting a polish finish I will be starting these this week and will contact you guys when they are complete. I appreciate everyone's input and great ideas, and feedback both good and bad, I can't improve my product with out knowing what needs improving.

After a short delay due to a few other projects that I was finishing up I have finally got a start and these signs for those of you that have placed an order, I hope to be finished with all of them by the end of next week. I will also be doing a couple different finish options and will post a few pictures as I get them done.
