    Instacheckmate is the most recent "conglomeration" sites that tries to scare you into paying money to "verify" the person you're seeking.

    If you use it, keep certain things in mind:

    1) If you're an employer, this is NOT FCRA compliant.
    2) If you're using it to check up on the new person you're dating, this site may give you false positives. If you're dating someone with a common name, it may pull in someone else's history or social online presence. There's no way for you to verify.
    3) Not all records are online. This person may have criminal or civil records that are not listed because the courthouse from that specific county doesn't upload their records.
    4) Sometimes people lie about their name.
    5) People are fallible. They may reverse a couple of letters, misfile certain records, or just plain goof up and make a mistake when putting records online. There is no way to determine due diligence from one site.
