    Default Like Itialian Food?

I have been going to this place since 97 and they have the best Homade Pasta with Marinara in town. Oh and My wife would kick my ass if I failed to mention that's where we became officially engaged.
Just found a little story on them and thought I'd finally share why I'm so petite in stature

Dude, you are soooooo late to the game. Patsy's has been around since the late 40's IIRC. One of my BIL's worked there in high school.
    Yup, decent Dago grub.
There is also Lachugas at 35th and Tejon.
You missed the heyday though. That area was known as "Little Italy" and you had Mancinellis Market, Palgliacchis, Subway Inn, all gone now.
Gaetanos is decent but it is nowhere near what it used to be.

There's a place in Fort Lupton that has a peanut butter and jelly calzone. Can't remember the name or even where it's at right now.

38th and Tejon, place has a history. Alleged "Family" hangout back in the day, look up "Smalldones".

Yep. That's the one I was thinking of. They have bottomless mimosas on Sunday mornings. The chicks seem to like those.

All of North Denver used to be nothing but Italians. My Grandmothers sister married into some of them and that end of the family still owns an Italian joint to this day. They own Fanelli's Amici's which used to be off of 53rd and Sheridan and moved to 43rd and Wadsworth. There are a lot of smaller family Italian joints in town still. Do not count this as a suggestion or recommendation to go there however as I am not a food critic and really do not know where they stand as to quality as I have only eaten there once at the old location.

North Denver is an interesting mix of Italian / Hispanic.

next time we're in denver, have to check them out.

Odd place to eat but interesting, when they serve food is the Potenza Lodge.

I've been in that basement and I've seen the "kill shower" & the tunnels entrance that are filled with concrete. Used to hang out there several days a week.

Food has gotten a lot better since they hired the old chef from Pagliacci's and the Wynkoop sold it. Frank Sinatra impersonator is there at least once a week performing and is a great night to take a date.

Lechugas is "okay" for fast Italian. I haven't eaten there since it sold to new owners.

    I miss Carbones the most.
