Haha, no worries. I don't have any sort of attachment to it, just that I enjoyed the book. Now, I am not naive to the fact that's clearly the product of my not being a connoisseur of Post-Apocalyptic literature or even modestly "well read"... I guess I need to read more of the originals. Do you have any favorites or ones you'd strongly recommend?

I would say start with Heinlein's Farnham's Freehold and Niven & Pournelle's Lucifer's Hammer. The latter is what Hollywood should have made instead of Armageddon, Deep Impact, or Space Cowboys.

I noticed that right away. They are either folks that won't fight for their country (people we do not want here) or they are the enemy that is trying to get into the countries taking refugees (people we do not want here).

People here are incredibly ignorant of La Raza, Latin Kings, MS 13, Aryan Brotherhood and others. There are several thousand "active" gang members just in my little town. I think people are a little more leery of middle-eastern faces around here.


I think there are thousands of legit refugees, but also thousands of bad people waiting to do bad things. Keep your head on a swivel and your family close.

Our country is doing a pretty good job of destroying itself from within. The wolves are just watching and waiting until the right time.
