    If its a remake why are they going to Michigan? It was set in Colorado last time.

    Because it is standard remake protocol to fuck up all the good thins in the first version.

    I really enjoy watching the original, and, since learning last fall about the Detroit locale, I'm not particularly eager to see the re-make.

    I'm sure they'll be remaking Beverly Hills Cop with Chris Rock next.

    Agreed... looking at the basics of the plot, I wouldn't be surprised if the ending has Obama retaking his throne after the Chinese are kicked out.

    But honestly, maybe the Chinese foreclosed on the US government, and took the rust belt states as payment? Seems like a fair trade.

    It's being filmed in Michigan, but apparently it's set in Spokane, WA, which makes more sense in terms of either an amphibious assault or an invasion through Alaska.

    I'll agree with that... highly entertaining in the role of annoying, incompetent conscripted sidekick

    he's not too bad if you don't take him seriously- there are much worse
