Jesus...some of you guys would bitch if you were hung with a new rope.

How is this any different than yellow ribbons? Or blue stars? It's just a simple gesture of support that's easy for anyone to do. And who knows? It might be very uplifting for someone, a vet, having a bad day and seeing several green lights on homes or other buildings. It's not supposed to be a life-changing epiphany for anyone. FFS...lighten up a little bit. (I crack myself up sometimes.)

In 2013 (I think it was) Walmart pledged to hire 100,000 veterans. They were well over 40,000 last I heard some time last year. I'm not disagreeing with your post, just pointing out they're already pretty vet friendly.

When I was still a volunteer driver for the DAV, every once in a while one of my passengers would donate a few bucks to the DAV to help defray some of the fuel costs. This really impressed me!!

Thanks again Bailey I just put this up to be a little heads up of something nice to do not a life changing event or even something new or ground breaking! I wasn't asking people to do it I just wanted to know who else thought it was a nice GESTURE a way of saying thanks since I don't know most of my neighbors around me, I give to wounded warrior and other charity's since some of you wanted to point out that we should help more than changing out a bulb.

So the neighbors on either side of me, and the two directly across from me all have green lights displayed. I'm not sure if it's because of the time of year (and since two of them also have a red light) but my street looks closer to Whoville than it does Patriot Rowe. For whatever it's worth.
