That "other" site

Not to promote another site, but I've gotten some good info from http://www.m4carbine.net/forum.php without all of the unnecessary fanfare associated with that other site.

Of course this site is my first resource for useful AR related info.

See you get "good info" I tried M4 and it's a bunch of pretentious anal cavities (assholes for the laymen). If you don't run a NF on XX bbl and XX lower with XX trigger and flash hider you're an idiot.

Look there's forums for fuking around, forums for learning and forums for a combo of everything along with a "family" atmosphere.
Meaning we can agree to disagree, call out some flag burning doshay. Get a time out or banned. It's what one makes of it.

I just don't understand how some folks can be so helpless, they need the internet to give them an answer of stay or divorce the bitch, or dick (what ever gender one prefers)

I go to the COAR facebook page where I usually turn the "site is down" thread into the PWT with Brutal's help.




ETA: Just occurred to me that some of youse guys talk about Facebook like it is an alternate version of "the site that shall not be named" and it makes a lot of sense to me - there is a lot of bullsh!t to wade through before you find the good stuff. I think the best way to use facebook is to actually just keep in touch with your close friends and family and avoid the politics and drama and other time wasting stuff like the plague.

PLEASE................... For every person here who bashes that site. An easy 50-60% are regulars there. I like the "Well i'm a member because i post a lot of stuff that reaches more people than here" excuse. YET............................all of them have footprints in numerous other forums there. I've been a member there since 98. Lost my post count when it changed over from a BB? style. Not that it matters. Just find it hilarious how many deny or bash that site, yet have a fairly impressive post count.

The key to enjoying it or other gun forums,,,,,,,STAY OUT OF THE GD SECTION. There it's a free for all. With (IMO) folks who don't have the spine to do or act on anything w/out moral support. It (sometimes) reads like a Dear Abbey. OK most of the time.

Yet you like others (myself incl) do post / participate. It's nothing at all to post , be a member of any web sites. I find it hypocritical the "condemnation" of a site some of the same people post / are a member of. IF it's that shitty a site, don't be a member or go there, that's easy. Money says this hits 3 pages, easy.

I too was a member back before the new forum software. I didn't feel the need to join again though until like 2k8 for some reason or another. I think it was to use the EE there or something. The forum does suck. I keep hoping that it will get better or that site staff will make efforts to get things under control but it just gets worse and worse. I wouldn't call 155 posts in 7 years 'participating' as you have.
