Is this just a Comcast thing? Because its not true in my case with Cox. I've never heard of requiring a box at each tv to get cable. I dont have a single box of any kind in my house and have 3 tvs that work just fine.
If it is not, it will be soon.
With comcast, there MAY be 1 or 2 channels you can get without a box.
All encrypted, stopped using traps/filters with the exception being using MOCA/POE filters to isolate signals used in any room dvr and such.
Well them bastards! Just another way to get more money from people. Im about done with cable. Its a waste. Nothing but re-runs anyway. For what it costs Id rather just listen to a radio!
