there used to be a disclaimer though that their data was reliable with a 30 meter variance. I am not sure if it is still true.

Edit: They use SRTM grid data. Depending of where you are the grid will be 30x30 m accuracy, up to 90x90 in some area. Basically: you can get a ballpark figure, but not an accurate measurement.
