I have a LOT of tools that are much older than I am. Got them from my grand father and my wife's father and grand father.
Not quite a DE. I've shot them, and I won't ever own one. Despite me having massive hands, they don't fit comfortably, and the .50AE round is too anemic for the whole package.
These are STI/SVI 2011 80% frames made by a third party. They have both steel (pictured) and 7075 aluminum (in the mail) frames that require slide rails to be cut, the sear hole drilled, and the hammer hole drilled.
They are made by Limited 10. If you are willing to wait for a while, they put them on sale every couple of months, around a holiday.
I have a fascination with the 80% world, not to save money or avoid a 4473, but because I enjoy the challenge of doing more than screwing parts together like on an AR.
