How do you guys get all these tickets and have all this negative interaction with police? I learned that police, unless they really have a hair up their ass, will treat you as well as you treat them. I also learned that it isn't incumbent upon them to be nice, it starts with us, we're the ones who did something to garner their attention so we need to be as pleasant as possible. It works too, I've gotten out of more tickets just being nice and polite than I've ever received.

And what you doing speeding around small towns anyway, don't you know that they're looking ESPECIALLY for that violation?

I speed plenty, if it says 55 I'm doing 70+, if it says 75 I'm doing 80+ but NEVER near a small town.

Ok. I might have embellished a bit. It probably wasn't more than about four stops and I actually only got one ticket out of the deal.

I'm always friendly, cooperative, and polite when I get pulled over. That's probably gotten me out of more tickets than anything.

The first time I saw officer douche bag he was trying (poorly) to sneak up along side the passenger side of my truck with his hand firmly on his pistol while I was conversing with the younger officer through my driver's window. I watched him in my rear view mirror the whole time trying to figure out what this Barney Fife wanna-be was doing. He stood back there in my "blind spot" while the other officer was letting me off with a warning with his hand on his pistol the whole time.

Now, this might be cool if I was suspicious or whatever but basically I was pulled over for going about twelve miles an hour over the speed limit heading north out of their quaint little town. I was in an obviously marked company vehicle with no window tint, I signaled and pulled off the road as soon as it was safe to do so when they lit me up, I shut off the vehicle, rolled the driver's window completely down, and kept both of my hands on the steering wheel in plain sight. I might have been the easiest, safest traffic stop they had in a month. I just think officer douche bag was going a bit "Rambo" unnecessarily.

Oh, and even when I do get a ticket I'm nothing but polite. I usually end our little meeting by wishing the officer a nice day and telling him to be safe out there.

Every cop I have had an interaction with in stupid-ass-ault has been a negative experience...

They have all been self-aggrandizing putz's. Every single last one of them... Even the ones that let me off with a warning.

    Thank you.

I agree, he should have stayed in the car and let you and the younger officer complete your business.

I hope my posts weren't seen as uncivil. I definitely wasn't trying to be disrespectful to the profession or officers in general. Just one particular man with a bad attitude towards life in general.

Not the same guy, this guy is new and i dont think the other guy is here anymore. The young kid is gone also, the pretty boy that never wanted to get involved with police work haha, anytime he was called for domestic problems or anything he would just tell them to work it out. He was cool but i think he was scared of confrontation. This was the first time i have been pulled over in YEARS and i was polite, no need to argue i didnt realize my plates had expired but it was my fault.

I don't think anything you posted was uncivil. I was going to post my rebuttal, but I'm over it, what's the point when people don't even respect the site owners wishes.

Not sure what you mean by that. I certainly don't "HATE" my life. I'm actually rather happy with my job and my life. Feel free to guess away though. There's actually a couple of us that are members here on the forum, but don't let that stop you from being an ass.
