Default High-Value Stuff You Didn't Know You Had

Moving and setting up the new gun room and shop has given me ample opportunity to re-evaluate my need for a lot of the things I've accumulated. I'm finding some of it's highly desirable...the whole "one man's trash" thing.

I just sold a 4th Edition of the "Machine Gun Dealer's Bible" on GB for $250. I had no idea these books were so much in demand until I started looking at where to price it. Makes me wonder what some of my other "crap" is worth.

Might be worthwhile to go through your stash and look for things you can part with. I can buy a new gun or something else I'll use, more than that book, with the cash.

Yup-I picked up a WWII German rifle scope for $20 at a garage sale several years ago and found out doing some internet research that because it had the original lever mount, scope rubber, and cork for the the other lens it was valued by a collector at $2000.

    On the topic of books...

Neither if these make any sense because there is huge demand for both of these. These are not old titles and could easily be reprinted.

About 10 years ago, I listed a Norwest Bank money bag on eBay. I used it for small tool bag, but tools outgrew the bag. So, I decide to sell it.
I was expecting about $5, but ended up getting $48 (2006 usd currency).

If you wouldn't buy it, you should probably sell it.

Dang I've been looking for that 4th edition for a while. I have a 2nd and a 3rd edition in the old binders.
Not sure I'd pay anywhere near that though, unless I planned to sell it off later.

Ummm ... damn. I have like 4 copies of Clawson. I knew they were in high demand and likely to go up in value but ... hell ...
