    Default SGAmmo raises 5.56 prices

Say what you want about Jax, Dick's, Cheaper than Dirt but SGAMMO also raises prices during a "crisis". I can speak specifically about .223/5.56. Raised prices today $20/case for what I've been watching. I've bought plenty from them in the past and will continue to if the price is right but I thought I would report what I've seen.

Yesterday I was thinking about selling my .223 reloading stuff. I think maybe now I'll hold on to it...

Yep, they're getting in before the rush. I hate to see the opportunism, but if you are short of 5.56 at this point, it's not their fault, it's yours. It's not like we didn't see this coming.

A free market response, conversely a couple years ago I watched IMI M855 at Widener's fall from $455/1200 to $409/1200.

Agreed. You won't find me bashing Jax, Dick's or Cheaper than Dirt. I'm all for free markets and capitalism and all that comes with it.

IMO. If one doesn't like a business or sellers price, they are welcome to shop elsewhere. Now of only those 55gr sp's i have in the FS section would sell

I'm just waiting for some fool to come in here and start bashing because someone has something he wants but won't sell it for a nickel.

It's actually a positive because it pushes speculators (resellers) out leaving some inventory for folks who really need (and thus willing to pay the higher prices).

That's why I stay out of it when these panics hit. I feel really bad for the guys who couldn't afford to stock up and just now realize it's time.

Capitalism and price setting is fine. Trying to ramp up panic is not.

I noticed they stop doing that immediately when I shit-listed them over it and sent them formal letterhead...

At any rate, it's been enough years that I've of course forgotten it.
My problem with CTD was when they jacked up the cost of stuff by 200% or more and then said it was the producers doing it, like saying it was Magpul pricing their mags at $60/pop

It's been time for close to 3 decades. If one isn't of legal age to buy a gun, ok i understand. HOWEVER to complain (not you, Skip) thjat one cannot aford anything firearm related, Oh well.
AR's have been in the shitter price wise for what, almost a year? Unless something has changed there's still lots of $400 kits and $50 lowers out there.
