Don't like it? Then YOU have the "right" to shop somewhere else.
Of course they do just like if they choose to withdraw the sale of scary looking items based on knee-jerk reaction in a de facto ban of our rights I have the right as a paying customer to no longer spend my money there and make their thoughts known to others who share similar desires to support those who support our rights so they can also make informed decisions on who they support. With all of the options available today why would you choose to support someone who doesn't support you? That makes no sense. It is your right to do so but know that all these debates we have are largely worthless and the actions we take in our day to day life are where the wars are won and lost. Kids and non-gun people seeing 'scary' things in their day to day life makes them more common place and less likely to see them as scary devices of murder and mess destruction if the only place they see them is in the hands of evil characters in TV shows and movies. It also makes it so that the average citizen can buy and own them as is our right. If nobody sells them then how are we free to own them if we are unable to buy them? It's not only our right but our duty to support shop owners who support our constitutionally protected rights to keep and bear arms regardless of how scary those items look.

I know I have the right and I exercise that right and I support similar shops who recognize my rights and are willing to continue to support those rights. Posts here on the subject aren't seeking permission to do this but to make sure those who are new to the hobby know who is trustworthy and who isn't as we move forward in this scary political climate where more and more people want to restrict our right to own these pieces of metal and plastic. It's your right to ignore me but all I present are facts: in the days & weeks following Sandy Hook JAX pulled ALL 'scary' looking firearms and components from their shelves with ZERO requirement by the law to do so.

It amazes me that people want to go back to using Netscape as a search engine when Google potentially tweaks their search algorithm slightly to favor a Democratic candidate but when a store intentionally pulls 'assault' weapons and anything that looks scary at the drop of a hat w/o any facts or requirement by law... oh, they're good. We'll still shop there.

    Dafuq?!

"De facto ban?" It's not a "ban" of any kind. You have no more right to demand that someone else sell a product they don't want to sell than they have to demand that you buy a product you don't want to buy. You're both free actors.

It's a de facto ban from the buyer's standpoint because if you can't buy it then how are you able to exercise your right of owning it? That's like saying 'you can still conceal a firearm, you just need a license for it' and then not granting any licenses. Again, I'm not FORCING them to do anything. It's their choice to not sell it but it's our choice to be informed buyers who don't support companies who choose to do so.

How is this a difficult concept for some to grasp?

Who says you have to do anything 'lockstep' because I say so? Shouldn't you WANT to support or not support those who reflect your ideals and rights? There are thousands of vendors where you can spend your money and you want to defend one that CHOSE to not support our community? Why?

Yup, and the people who wanted the cake (or the scary black gun) are entitled to bitch and moan and encourage a boycott of that business all they want. But it would be stupid for anyone to think the government would step in and force the business to sell something they didn't want to.

Unless it's maternity coverage and birth control pills.

All vendors that I've been watching have raised prices.

I've been very impressed that sportsman's guide has kept their ammo prices the same, right around 30 cents per round on the wolf gold 223, and not much more on several other varieties of 223 ammo.
