At least they have two guys in custody. They were also on private property "camping", so that and the fact they went to evac point at the school even though they had broken camp kinda signals that they were probably homeless..... I mean "travelers".

I heard from a reliable source (house cleaner of the property owner) that the campers had permission to be on the property that evening. Don't know if they were homeless or not, but prob a good chance they are the drifter types plaguing our state

Not yet. Gilpin Co has not been effected by this.

On a side note, I am looking to buy in that area.

OK, please explain the logic of this to me.

A good portion of Sugarloaf is under mandatory evacuation, but Sugarloaf Road is now open to the public. Might as well just hang an "open house" sign on the homes so Paco and friends from Aurora know where to resolve some social and economic inequality.

I have never been a fan of pre-emptive mandatory evacs when security of property is low on the official priority list. I am glad our friend is still posted at his Sugarloaf home- 590A1 in hand.

Interesting that the area is having issues with predominantly white transients, that have initiated this situation to begin with, aren't subject to evacuation, yet your concern is Mexicans traveling from Aurora to loot homes.

I think my opinion on the transients has been made perfectly clear. Yes- they are still a huge threat for looting, but with the road now being open to the public, Paco (or Cletus or Jamal, as you prefer) is now more facilitated to come exploring from an outside region like Aurora (or Boulder or Arvada, as you prefer).

Looks they are lifting some of the evacs now, so perhaps people can now go back and secure their homes.
