Not at all. As NV scopes go it is a lightweight. I do have to put it on the scale but a WAG says 2lbs.

wow, not nearly as bad as I thought. just the size of that thing makes it appear to be heavy

Not as bad as it looks. It is made from very thin cast aluminum and machined. It does take a little getting used to but it is pretty nice. Pic of what ya see.

You need to take that thing to Texas and go bust up some hogs. First thing that came to mind when I saw your first picture is that would be one sweet hog gun.
