    Decided I wanted to stay.
Went through the whole immigration deal.
I am a voting citizen now.
    It can be done.
Nobody said it would be easy, but I am happily living in a country that somebody else built for me , with blood sweat and tears.
The least I can do to show gratitude and respect is go by the law, speak the language (ENGLISH) and be a part of the community (as in CITIZEN).
As far as stereotypes go, there's always some truth in them.
    Yes, I am Italian.
    Yes, my name is Luigi.
Yes, my dad's name is Guido.
Yes, I even know some Marios.
And yes, I like pizza, pasta and being romantic to my wife.
It is not a stereotype or racism.
It is just the way it is.
I don't cry outrage when I watch the Sopranos, hell I like the show!
If Latinos don't want to be stereotyped or profiled they need to start cleaning up their own house.
Until then, if you are too lazy to do things legally,
GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!
    AWESOME statement!!

I'm glad to were able to make the system work for you. I know it wasn't easy. I also appreciate that while I'm sure that you are very proud of your heritage, you have adopted the language, customs and culture of your new home nation and become a member of OUR community instead of expecting us to adjust to your customs, etc.

Now, I have to comment on the deal with yours and your fathers names and the other things you mentioned.... Given what you've told us, you could be a poster child for all of the stereotypes Americans have for Italians. That's some funny stuff!

One last thing [STEREOTYPING TO FOLLOW]: Since Italians have talk with their hands, how can you type? [/STEREOTYPING]
Good Lord you served this to me on a silver platter...
Yeah, if I am busy talking with my hands I can still type:
you'd be amazed at what a motivated Italian can do with his appendages...

You know, I wondered if you'd catch that "loophole" in the question!

But it is well worth it.
I am not ashamed to say that at the end of it all, at my naturalization ceremony, I could not help tearing up.

Awesome man, glad to have people like you here that have truly worked for their citizenship and didn't just take the free handout. Thanks again for sharing that information

[quote=Ed_S;201824]One of the frustrating things about illegal’s is that most of them work real hard and do the crappy jobs most Americans refuse to do.

However that being said I still say deport them all!

Guess the first part offended a couple of folks! Which is kind of funny with my second statement!

    Liberal, I think not!

If I had my way you could only have welfare for a fixed period then after that you have to get your lazy fat ass up and get a job, even if it's picking strawberries.

I guess it's better than having a wife the likes Oprha (or whatever her name is).
Lots of young guys chasing pussy.
    What's wrong with that?

If you PAY someone to do the work, especially in this economic climate, there will be an American citizen that will do the work, whatever it is, guaranteed. But sorry, not for $4 an hour.

Ya, if you pay more for labor, you have to charge more, but then when the money isn't mailed to mexico every week, people in your area also have a lot more to spend, so it's a damn good thing if fruit costs 50% more because your unemployment rate is then about 2% and the money being invested into local economies is about 2x (FPOOMA) -- figure pulled out of my $$$

I have yet to see illegals working on high tension lines, dangerious jobs like in the lumber industry, or working as RN's manually dis-impacting bowels. I fail to see why American's would not want to pick fruit, if they were paid for it. I'd like to see an illegal willing to grab poop out of a persons rear.

    huge +1

they do jobs that are extremely small task, very simple, mostly outside (easy to run I guess), and cheap labor.
a tractor and a few implements are easy replacements. but since a tractor can break down, and 50 illegals can get replaced in no time and no insurance is required to get paid, the farmers that employ them figure their total overall cost is reduced, probably significantly.
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.

    My Feedback
