That's why you don't want to go with the AR10 but with the LR-308 platform. Much better reliability and availability of parts.

People finished up with most of the AR "shit going sideways" builds and are getting back to their recreation/fun guns. Though I am surprised by the current abundance of ammo, but there were a considerable amount of people that went in hock to get thousands of rounds etc, that really weren't thousands of round shooters, so definitely a surplus out there for the moment.

I usually do SGammo for my ammo orders and the wolf gold 1,000 round packs have been out of stock most of the time I check lately. I just set to have an email sent when it comes back in stock so I can see how quick it sells.
Actually, I definitely did the homework, and both my LR308 builds went together perfectly Including the right rail height of the DPMS upper and my handguard of which there are two different heights. I just have two different platforms so I test fitted among the two builds to see the differences. I also have a few spare stripped lowers sitting in a box.
I pulled out the two rifles again and swapped out lower/uppers on them to check the differences. I could pin together the DPMS upper to my PSA lower; not a great fit but they pin together. I couldn't pin together my PSA upper to my LR308 patterned Shadow Ops lower; verified the receiver adjustment screw was backed out all the way (shadow ops had this feature). I would need to clearance the rear takedown lug on the upper for it to seat correctly with the lower. I'm not sure how this would fit on other LR308 patterned lowers.
Edit: I called PSA, and they are not discontinuing the PA-10. However, production is on hold right now for logistical reasons; so, my lowers aren't useless. Back to the original post...I am not interested in trying to make something else work; I would prefer to keep PSA with PSA.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

PSA PA10 upper + LR308 lower = charging handle may not clear buffer tube yoke.
Personal experience. Two separate uppers and lowers. Interference of ~.030". Coworker removed material from yoke on his. He is running it.
I was not comfortable going that route, as I felt there was some mis-alignment between bore axis and buffer tube axis.
The upside?
I now have a complete PA10 and a complete non PA10. Had tight-chamber issues with my PA10, but that was addressed and now runs smoothly & reliably. Had no issues with other setup.
