On balance, the weather here is much more mild than in Bailey. Very little wind in the valley, lots of wind up on the prairies. Very wet here in the winter. Everything starts to turn green in the fall and stays green in the winter. Very dry and brown in the summer.
Kids came out in Oct for a few days. That's the biggest downside to moving here...leaving what little family I had in CO. It'll get even worse when grandkids come along.
For all you shooters and sportsmen...Idaho is about 70% public land. You can pull off the road and shoot pretty much anywhere it seems. Only AK, NV and UT have a higher percentage of public vs private land.
