Default Anyone use BG Engine and/or Fuel Additives?

Cars are getting long in the tooth. Some say this stuff is all snake oil-use good oil (I use mobil 1), top tier gas, and you'll be fine.

But, this stuff is about the only stuff i see at auto repair places--even dealers. Now, i know that's not necessarily a ringing endorsement, but i've seen it at higher end dealers, too. really looking at the BG44K, MOA, and/or EPR.

Any feedback, pro or con? I searched and found one thread mentioning BG44K in passing an emission test (along with some quick maintenance) but didn't see anything else.

Is this company like Amsoil--multilevel marketing? (i've also never used Amsoil, either, but its advocates sure seem passionate)

44K is excellent BUT..................... it's not something i would suggest leaving in the tank & system for any period of time, especially with older fuel lines.
When it's used i meter it to tank size then run it till fill up. That means it's used for road trips, not around town / short hops.

Used the B&G products exclusively at the mc shops i worked for over the years. The MOA or was it the EPC ( i think the EPC) isn't or use to not be recommended on vehicles with Cat Converters

BG44K is great stuff for cleaning your injectors.
If the Odds are equal, you're doing it wrong

BG44K is a fuel additive that allegedly cleans the fuel system, and injectors, like KS63 said. Purportedly breaks up carbon deposits, etc.

EPR is an engine sludge remover that you put in you old oil right before an oil change, then drain out with the used oil

MOA is a friction reducer (i guess along the lines of slick50 from years ago)

So if I were to use this, when I'm driving out of state on a trip that takes two tanks each way, that is a good time to use this product?

Sometimes I add a 1/4 tank of E85. Ethanol 85% will suck all the moisture out of your gas. I do it a couple times a year. The computer seems to handle it ok as I never get a code. I think fuel filter changes are more important than additives.
