Horny Goat brewing makes an outstanding chocolate peanut butter porter, I've seen it on shelves locally but I think they're in Wisconsin.

I feel like I've seen Empyrean at Total Beverage before, but I'm not sure. Glad I took the picture because this is the fourth time I've had it now and I'm interested to try whatever I can get my hands on with how good this one is.

Ive picked up their IPA a couple times from a little place around the corner, I haven't seen that one yet. Whenever I'm in the mood for something new or hard to find I head to either Molly's or Superior liquor. There's also a little place directly across the tracks from dfbrews shop on Smith rd that has a pretty respectable selection on hand too. When it comes to NE, one of the only super memorable beers I've had was an IPA from Nebraska brewing that I found at that little store.

It might be because it's late and I've been drinking, but if I remember, I'll see if I can bring some back. This stuff is pretty great.

I remembered to hit the Hy-Vee before I left town and some followed me back. Want to try some of that peanut butter porter?

OH VERY MUCH SO!!! But I made a new years resolution to not have a drop until the 4th...of July lol. I thought diet and exercise were too cliche for NYR's, so did the unthinkable, I gave up booze until the summer! Forever? I'd be kidding myself, but for about 6mo? No fricken problemo!

My uncle picks a month each year to not drink. He loses about 20lbs when he does that. He said the first time he tried it was in June and it sucked. Now he does it in February.

I did something similar, but instead of quitting completely I chose to limit myself to one night a week (my Friday). At first I could still do a six pack quite easily, as time went on, I'm to the point now where 2 light beers are about all I'll drink, and forget any hard stuff. Any more than 1-2 beers and I feel like poop. I feel so much better these days.
I decided that if I wanted to drink beer, I'll have to ride my bike to the liquor store to get it.
