85 employees laid off at Magpul

CHEYENNE, Wy.(KGWN)- The employment company that staffs temporary, seasonal and full time employees at Magpul Industry’s Manufacturing and Distribution Facility in Cheyenne has announced the separation of 85 employees.

It looks like some of them might have been temps or seasonal employees.

I'd gladly do my part, but that would violate the rules of this forum

Most if not all the people working in the cheyo place were temps.

Now if they offered 15 rd mags instead of the 10 rd ones they wanted to send, as replacements for some cracked feed lip area issues. Perhaps they might have kept 1 or 2 of those folk.

I sent in a broken feed lip standard capacity and they sent me a full capacity one in exchange. It was about a year ago. The only mag I have with a newer date.

I am curious where the Marine magazines are coming from. Maybe Texas?

Those that were laid off were Temps from an employment agency that were temporary job assignments anyway.

2 months salary + benefits for a severance package for a temporary employee?
    Unheard of.
I'd say Magpul treated them exceptionally well.

Firearms are a commodity, just like any other retail item. Sales and workforces are based on sales.
Since the Don got elected the panic buy is over and the market has flattened out. Heck, I was in PA at Great America and a kid was telling me his local shop was selling Pmags @2 for $10.00, the shop had stacked the back room in anticipation of Hildabeast getting elected and now was practically giving them away.
Remington, Silencerco, S&W have all had RIFs in the last couple of months.
    It's just business.
You adapt to the market or you flounder.

I have one with a cracked feed lip. Didn't know I could send it back. Do you have to keep the receipt around or something to prove you had the mag before the ban?

That would make it tough for those of us that bought mags and trashed the receipt before there was any purchase date requirement.

I also figured the Marine mag contract would have kept them busy. Magpul certainly knows what it will take to fulfill their orders.
