Probably not. If I'm in twn for the Colo Spr Comin Con I'll probably go to that one - more guests I'm interested in seeing.
No, I'm horrible at games. I worked with Mike at Schriever. We shared a passion for sci-fi. He let me review his book before sending it to his pubisher.

I have absolutely zero understanding about any of this. Lol.
Some day I'm going to go. Not sure if this is the year though. I grew up geeky and loved everything sci-fi and fantasy or super hero related. The original Star Wars trilogy were my favorite movies, I spent many years amassing quite a large collection of comic books, and loved playing Dungeons & Dragons.
I know zero about any of those people. I have been around many comic cons, anime cons, etc at hotels I've stayed at ranging from NYC, anchorage and San Jose CA. What is fun to see are the outfits. Some are quite impressive while others are just plain hot! Then there are the weirdos, the real loners, etc. I'm always amazed at each one I've been around. Just never been interested in going in or finding out more, I just enjoy the people watching.
How do kids even buy comics these days? I loved going to the newsstand in the 80s and picking up the latest spider man, gi joe, wolverine, and such. Now, i have no clue.
Honestly, it's mostly adults buying comics these days but you can get them at specialized comic shops or online (I prefer Mile High Comics to Amazon).
Denver has become more of a pop culture con than comic con -- nothing wrong with that and it's definitely where the money is but the feeling of the con is more corporate (albeit taking advantage of fans for free labor). I really don't like the shenanigans the current board used to push out the founder and the celebrities this year don't appeal to me. In addition, I am generally wary of events with huge populations anymore so I wish the best to those attending but I won't be there.
I went through a short comic phase a couple years ago and it was convenient how you could download an app to your smartphone or tablet and buy them there, then just download and flip through the comic books on your lunch break or something similar.
