If there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to buy a gun, there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to vote.

For legal reasons, that's a joke.

MAFFS 4 & 6 are C-130 J models, the newest version of the Hurk out there. I think they are 2006-2008 airframes flown by the California National Guard. Good dudes, kinda the old man on the block as far as MAFFS goes.

Right now 1, 5 and 6 are in Fresno. We are sending our second plane (MAFFS 2) out there tomorrow.

Just about every air tanker in the US and Canada is flying right now.

Smoke plumes... There is a reason you want to avoid them. They are a giant fireball inside. Found that out the hard way about 20 years ago. We often have tuck up somewhat close to them so be sure the ground firefighters get the retardant right where they need it.

GoPro footage is pretty cool, but its much better with audio. I think we still have some of Waldo Canyon and Black Forest. I will dig around.

I see the 747 (Air Tanker 944) has been used to fight these California fires:

There is some interesting video on that page!

    Yup.

The 747 is in Sacramento right now.

Good to see him out here working.

Is that the only picture, or is there a series?
