I watched the game on channel 20 last night, and it sounded like some local news guys calling the game. I'm glad I missed the mess you all are talking about; I don't like Monday night football since the ESPN move so I don't watch it.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

This was EXACTLY my thought. I watched on 20 and thought it couldn't be the ESPN crew because it was SO bad. I thought it must be some C rated local crew.
ESPN clearly wanted it to be their show of equality night.
A female reporter who clearly knows her stuff but that is super dry and boring on top of her horrible voice. That job is ALL about the person's voice. It no different than radio. You MUST have a great voice for that job. She doesn't and I can't believe she got the job without that qualification. Especially on MNF.
And ESPN has many great female on-camera personalities that have great voices that I'd rather listen to even if they don't know every detail of every player like Beth does. I don't care where some left tackle lived with his grandma when he was playing football as a kid.
Then you have an ESPN Deportes sideline guy who acts like he's never been to a pro sports game before, hasn't ever been on camera live before and clearly didn't rehearse his on camera moment. He was amazingly un-qualified for the job. But, Deportes...so he got a huge job sooo many others are more qualified for.
ESPN was making a statement. No other way to explain that mess on MNF.
