    Thornton PD's whining about the armed citizens is really rubbing me the wrong way.

    If the perp had decided for continue his attack, who was in the position to engage him- The police? NO! Armed citizens? YES! It would fall to the father with two kids hiding behind a deli case with his .38 snub.

    The first videos you look at are the ones from the shooting location, and IDing the guy actually firing at the victims. Sure, if you want to fully process the entire crime scene, tracking the movements of other armed parties would be part of that exercise to eliminate all potential for additional suspects. Saying that the armed citizens delayed the ID of the main perp is asinine.

    I don't think they ever said it delayed the ID of the main suspect but it did delay their conclusion that there was only one suspect.
