I got too much, wife kind of went off-script this year. Puppy print pajamas (returned), monogrammed hand towels (Regifted), two flannel shirts (returned), 55 ounce beer glass (returned).

My 16 year old, for White Elephant, put a 4 point deer antler shed in a box and wrapped it really nice.

Uh, Chipotle, no thank you. Chipotle is the gift that keeps on giving, long after you've consumed their "food".

I was never a fan of theirs, but after their health/cleanliness issues I vowed to never eat there again. To the company's credit [sarcasm], when they were going through the health crisis they did close down all of their stores for a whole 1/2 day for cleaning and training...yep, a whole 1/2 day. They recently came out saying their health crisis was caused by sick employees. Yes, employees at multiple restaurants around the nation were ill with the same sickness at about the same time; how convenient for Chipotle.

That's one you can't return - the deer don't want them back.

Well, that's different. I suppose putting a bow on it at that point wouldn't have been too kosher; eh?!

I'm not all that disappointed in the gifts I got from my wife ... well not any more than usual.

She LOVES to get clothes for Christmas and as such seems to think I love getting clothes for Christmas too. Keeping in mind we stick to a budget (this year was $65 each) so its not like she can get me guns or other toys, but it is kinda annoying to have to pretend to be excited by the two pairs of pants and two pairs of shoes she got me (even though they're nice and I like them ok, its just not what I really want for Christmas).

But to be honest, last time I was really all that excited about my Christmas gifts was when I was 12, and that's fine with me ... if we were to up the budget to where we could get stuff that would be exciting then I'd have nothing but anxiety over paying for it all.

Well that's a bummer ... puts a damper on the holiday spirit (and makes my complaints seem silly by comparison).

I wrapped a fire extinguisher for White Elephant. I knew someone was going to think it was a bottle of wine.

Everything was great. My kids (well, my wife with their help) made a shirt with their hand prints [odd note -- the 3-in-February oldest's hands are only slightly bigger than those of his 8 month old little brother...], and my wife got me a gift card to Buffalo Wild Wings. Sis in law got me a 6x monocular. No complaints from me!
