"That guy" was Mike Seeklander, a USSA firearms instructor, GM USPSA pistol and 3-gun shooter, and one of the best shooters in the world... BTW, I'm personally estatic that someone is taking shooting to mainstream TV in this way. It can do nothing but good in my opinion.

Awesome find! After-all it is a tv show, and what fun would a Tv show be without a little "drama". I believe the sights were tampered with before the shooting
Also if Blake Miguez, doesn't just destroy the pistol portion of the show, I'm bringing up the BS flag.
The only thing posative I can say for the "Professional" Shooter that got beat, is that he wasnt whining that he got beat and accepted it like a man.
I still have a hard time with him losing since that is his profession.

The kid that beat him shot like a true pro after many were questioning his experience.
Yeah right.................he blew donkey balls with iron sites at 100 yards. No excuse to take almost 30 shots and STILL MISS.
I've hit a 6" target with iron sights at 100 yards with a .22lr in less than 30 shots and a .22lr is the only "rifle" I've ever shot.

finally caught a rerun of this tonight.
Mike might be able to shoot pistols, but rifles... apparently not so much.
on his blog he calls the 1903 a "non standard" rifle.
to this boy scout a bolt action with iron sights is about as standard as it gets.
then when he said that he wanted to shoot against the best rifle shooter, I said to myself he's going home. (then I knew he was going home, because before the final shoot they showed a preview for next week with the kid in it. fucking idiots)
If he had challenged the guy who was spotting for him, or someone who was also a pistol shooter and not a long range expert like that younger guy, he might have had a chance. his big head did him in.
I did like how the guy that spotted for him hit the bull dead center when he "voted"
but hey, this guy could probably outshoot me any day of the week, my comments are made with all due respect to his ability and profession. (and I don't want to whip up any crying, as my posts are wont to do)
I'll watch the show again, I want to see how the woman does. (actually I'm surprised there's not more)
I'm pretty sure the woman is a USPSA shooter from N. Texas that goes by Carinab on the Brian Enos forum.
Hell, they pretty much all are high ranked USPSA shooters except for the kid. Blake and JJ can just fricken rip with a pistol, and both have won their share of national events.
BTW, I haven't even seen the show. I'm going off of what happened from this thread and the HUGE thread on this show on the BE forum. The BE forum thread started when the show started looking for shooters. I don't even have cable.
