I wasn't being sarcastic at all. I think that school shootings happen because not enough of them have been stopped (and reported about) being stopped in their tracks. If we never hear about failed school shootings, it's going to continue to be held as a "sure thing" for every person with some hurt feels that wants to be dramatic.
