So If you have a 30 rd mag and load you weapon properly; there will only be 29 rds in the mag. The only time you should be worried about 30 +1 is in a tac reload. When that is the case slam that thing home. Those 2 extra rds that guys want to take out of there guns can make a big difference in a gun fight.

Not trying to insult anyone but here I go with correct m4 loading procedures.

Place weapon on safe
Log bolt to rear.
ensure chamber is empty
load magazine
Press bolt release and observe rd going into chamber
hit bolt assist

Gun is now loaded.

If you put the magazine in the gun and then rip back on the charging handle you will have malfunctions. Thanks to the movies firearms safety and loading procedures are a thing of the past.

Also in time your mags will losen up a little and you will have less of a problem with the tac reloads.
