I'm probably in the minority, but I prefer bumped threads over a million copies of the same topic.

Agreed 100% as long as it's useful information on the topic. This makes for fewer fragmented conversations of the same topic and a single repository for all info on a topic is easier to digest later on than trying to piece together several threads over the years and then juggle which posts came at what time to know what's the most useful information based on time when it was posted.
