If most of the middle East was turned into a decorative serving bowl; then China & N. Korea could be next. This just might be a nice world again. One good thing out of the middle East baklava, and targets (the moving kind)![]()
What did you say?
I love that clip!
You know, as much as I hate this place there are some cool moments. As we drove back last night and passed the gate an MRAP was doing their checks and it must have been bottom of the ammo box night cause they were unloading EVERYTHING.
Was flipping great! MRAP .50 full auto for some nice healthy burps instead of the usual few rounds. One soldier was emptying his M-16... twas a nice moment!
BANG BANG!

Here is my most memorable "M16 Mag emptying" story:
I was OPFOR (OPPOSING FORCES / volunteer additional duty) for a good part of my career. I recall during one exercise getting constantly limited in our actions with more and more "you can't do that" commands.
I had a couple of VOX (voice activated headset) radios that I found just happened to have one of it's 5 freq's the same as the "good guys" radios (I bought mine at Radio Shack for hunting nonetheless). We used this to our advantage for intel. After getting our butts chewed for raiding their camp (again) by coming through this filthy pond and told "You can't do that", we were a bit irritated (I'm keeping the language clean).
So, we pulled up stakes and decided to go home (they either want us to teach them how to identify their weaknesses, or they don't - and they DIDN'T).
Since we all had full mag's of blanks we needed to discharge before securing the weapons, I decided to active my VOX and put the headset onto my receiver. Mind you, we were standing within viewing range of the "good guys" camp. I unloaded my mag quickly (not full auto, but single-shot semi as fast as my trigger finger could pull the trigger).
It seems that the guys runnning the "good guys" show had the volume of their radios up a bit too loud. It was a riot watching them hank the headsets off of their heads.
<big sigh> Those were the good ole days.
