Default Eyes are telling me to start shooting with prescription glasses......(Recommend me an optometrist)?

Recommend me an optometrist, do you have a guy or gal that you go to that can understand your shooting needs and not turn their nose up in the air.

For those of you that shoot with glasses I am specifically concerned with lens styles and proper prescription to use behind both open sights and optics mostly in prone with an AR for known distance shooting.
I know you can get your lenses done in single prescription (close up, medium and distance), bifocal, progressive etc...

For specific shooting use do you want to get lenses that just have your "distance" portion of your prescription? Should I get a frame that sits higher off the bridge of my nose to have the correct portion of the corrective lens sitting properly behind the sights?

I'm over thinking the hell out of this but glasses is one hell of an expensive racket for what they are it would appear.

    Lisa Hamilton OD

She has several offices across Denver & is a damn fine shot herself which comes in handy for those specific considerations.

Takes near all insurance as well.

This is her Centennial office # 720.283.2020

I went with a set specific to distance for similar reasons & with consideration to my primary optic & dominant eye.

This guy has a range where you can bring in your optic or rifle and make sure that you can see it. Very shooter friendly.

    What's your prescription?

Honest question, are you afraid of LASIK?

Depends on age and the type of glasses he needs. If you've had excellent vision your whole life, and then come down with 'over 40' while still having 20/20 vision, Lasik doesn't make sense.

Too far gone, permanent double vision from stroke. Coke bottle lenses to correct.
