Comes with its equal set of problems. That much water = 100% humidity = condensation - mold - rot - chem smell/buildup. Unless you kill yourself building a lot in ventilation systems and vapor barriers on absolutely everything.

My wife bought a smaller one than the one Grant posted. It's the fastest way to get kids bored and kill grass at the same time.

I believe what is called a class 2 cover, don't know if they are made for above ground pools, are approved in most jurisdictions without fencing needed. The Preserve does not allow fencing but requires these covers, which can be walked on.

I don't want to derail the thread too much, but my favorite boat story was my friends cruising around on a lake and everyone was waving at them. They were a bit taken aback by how aggressively friendly everyone was, until they realized that not properly winterizing the boat means cruising around the lake with the motor on fire the next spring. I bought a kayak.

From having that shallow pool, my only advice is get one deep enough so it's not boring.

PSA, don't turn a truck into a pool without doing math (weight). I know nobody here is seriously suggesting that, just if other readers come across it, it's like putting a 600 lbs woman on a kids tricycle.
