BTW, silencerco sent an email apologizing & saying they'd fulfill all of the rebates by... Brace yourself... June 29th. Oof
I figured nine months as well. I talked to SiCo about my free can and this was the response I got:

I see you registered your Maxim 9 on 6/26/2018

We are currently working on manufacturing these suppressors. We do have over 11,000 registrations to go through so it will take us longer than expected. However, I can confirm your registration and everything looks good. You are good to go on your end. We have started to ship these back in October and plan to continue shipping these out through the next couple months once the government shut down is over. The ATF is not currently processing forms. At this time we are unable to send cans out to dealers. However, once this ends, they will be shipping out in much larger batches.
So the talk about the .gov shutdown affecting processing times were true. They also stated that they had laid off a bunch of employees due to a slow down and now are basically running a skeleton crew trying to play catch up. Free is Free but it may take two years for you to actually have it in hand when it's all said and done.

Yeah, free is free which is why I haven't been too mad about it but it's bad enough to wait about a year for two Form 4's but to wait what looks like a full two years from the time of purchase for the two freebies is certainly pushing the boundaries of the limit. I'm hopeful seeing you got yours that the wait will pay off and my suppressors will start to trickle in now. Slowly but eventually.

Didn't realize you could just buy LED headlights now. Don't need to mess around with an HID conversion and making sure you have a focus lens and all that. Under $30 delivered on Amazon. The LED cooling fans don't appear to interfere with my radio or CB either. I hear that LEDs don't run hot enough to melt off snow and ice though so I guess I'll find out next winter how big of a deal that will be.

The camera is picking up more light than the eye. In person the focus point of the LED is almost exactly the same size as the standard bulb on the left.

Wow, pretty sure LED was a several hundred dollar endeavor last time I looked into it. Looking forward to your evaluation of the bulbs.

Me too. My Amigo has old, crappy headlights and you feel like you can't see a thing. I bought a cheapy $25 LED light bar off Amazon a few years ago that is supposedly a driving light/flood light combo. The dang thing throws light in every direction so much that it looks like it's pointed straight at the ground and the bright spot right in front of the truck is kind of blinding and distracting to use on the streets, so I imagine it's just as bad for other drivers. Since I don't use it on the public streets, I'm still stuck with crappy head lights. I'll do some night driving and report back.

Awesome much appreciated. I'd like to get a light bar for the void in my front bumper, as well as replace the stock Pro4x roof lights with LED. So many projects not enough $.

On those LED light bars, I have some friends that did a very deep dive on those and long story short you can get ones that perform like the $600 ones, but for only like $100. One of those 'made in the same factory, but with an off-brand name' kind of thing. I haven't gotten the down low from them, but if you're interested let me know and I will.

The nicer bars you can switch between driving lights and floods and not have them both on at the same time like in my cheapy one. One of my buddies has his wired in such a manner as the light bar can be turned on independently of the headlights like normal, but it also automatically kicks on anytime the headlights are switched to brights.

I definitely wouldn't need anything too fancy, as it would be used for off highway purposes only, mainly for potential nighttime trail runs, or seeing around the campsite at night, etc.

For that, the cheapy I bought is good as it still throws light out as far, or further as the headlights, but when you click the bar on, it lights up the tops of the trees around you on the trail. Just to give you an idea.

Here is the one I bought. If I had to do it again, I would have spent a little more for something more usable. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Looks good enough for my uses, thanks for the info, I didn't realize they could be acquired so cheaply.
