My dad was, and I'm now a diehard Dodge (Cummins diesel) man.
My dad drives a cummins for a living (in his Freightliner), I have the crank with the #6 spun waiting to be turned into a mailbox post(f'n HEAVY, and it did have over a million miles on it). If I were hunting a diesel, cummins or the Ford 7.3 would be up there.

I have been putting 100 miles on the 06 each workday, and 1 weekend day for the last 2 years. Chasing neglected maintenance (some of it my fault) and the fuel made the move for me. She was old and tired, but may make a decent farm truck.it wasn't a great daily, but hopefully the TT v6 is better.

On another note, anyone wanna buy a 06 f150 with 200k? Motor has less than 30k, rear axle has 103k, transmission doesn't like to go forward with a load.
That's pretty sweet. Buddy of mine just bought a 2018 F350 Lariat 1-ton dually, 600hp, 1k-ft.lbs. torque....silly kinds of power these days.

    That's not stock power. 450/935 for a 2018/2019 Ford and those ^ numbers don't make sense. If it's 600HP, it's a hell of a lot more torque than 1K.

Speculation Ford is upping the ante for 2020 to 490/1015.

(Ram hit 400/1K stock in 2019 with the 6.7L CTD HO.)

Yes, crazy numbers, and shitty mileage.

Thanks to the EPA and the bullshit emissions components! Can have a truck that is deleted and run cleaner than a factory emissions equipped truck but, NOOOOO that's illegal.

Not to mention the fact that the biggest polluters also tend to be exempt from these sort of rules anyway. What's the point? Revenue. Revenue is the point.

What? You mean like the EPA getting a pass on dumping millions of gallons of mine tailings in our waterways?

That was an accident. Not intentional, like removing smog items from your vehicle

The fact they came up with the lame excuse they used to excuse the "mishap" is appalling in itself.

That greenies are more concerned and blaming trump for the state of national parks. Rather than hold the EPA to the fire for that mine debacle is telling.

You know this, I'm sure, but...

V motors don't produce torque like inlines.

It's entirely believable to be at 600/1000 with the Powerstrokes.
