I?ve been eyeballing property in Wyoming. There?s a 160 acre property that might make a decent camp site for now and maybe come retirement time I?ll build a homestead.

That's a really good idea actually. I also want a more rural property, for most of the same reasons, but never thought about getting enough land to build a money making structure right on site.

Right. I was thinking about this the other day as I was working my but off keeping the house pretty. Why am I working for my house and neighbors, why isn't the house working for me?

Also this is silly, but I dream of having a property with a nice old school red barn and a work shop with a 2 post lift. Cause 'Merica!

I want a barndominium. 72'x72'. The bottom would be an enormous work shop, even if I used half of it for something like a theater or something. Then, the top floor would be finished for living and would be larger than the house I'm currently living in.

I have a friend that lives on basically a farm in Montana. When he brings his whole family out here, he has people stay at his place on the cheap as long as they maintain all the animals.

Would a green barn with 4 post lift work?

Closest neighbor is 100 yds from our place. This is the 300' long fence that separates the property. Throw in they have 40' of trees between the fence line and their house. it works

    facing west

    east from the front
