    I was wondering why my fast new computer was not fast and it did not feel new....

    I had used a leftover laptop style drive for my secondary storage. Once I performed a benchmark on that drive I ordered something a lot faster.
    The SSD was a monster under the benchmarks....the other drive had the same stats as my USB external drive.
