Time to completely derail thread since we are talking Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, etc...

Anyone know of a place where I can get a computer key? A physical key, not a WINdows CD code or anything.

Looks like those old school handcuff keys with the circular opening on teh end and the skeleton key tumbler.... Hard to describe...

Same sort of key you'd use for some small handgun safes, cash boxes, Laptop/bicycle security chains, etc....

I think they are usually referred to as coke machine keys, I might have a box of them lying around if I haven't ditched them.

Hmm... Haven't heard that name yet. I'm going to have to go look at a Coke machine now. If you do have an extra, send me a PM and name your price. I need it for my computer tower. Tried picking, but with only two hands, it was too hard to hold all four tumblers while turning the mast. So I'll break down and get a key.

I'll look and see if they are still at my office, that's from pretty old computer equipment so we might have dumped them. If I do have them, though, you can have them for free, you're the first person needing one that I've met in four or five years.

BOOOM! Thank you Sir. Soon as I heard that I remembered like it was on the tip of my toungue.

Ranger, no worries friend. Now that I now the name, I've located a source. Thank you.

Cool! See, us redneck southerners don't know actual names for things, only references to other ways we can nefariously use the item .

Good one. I was wondering when your dream was going to end.

A hammer and a punch will pick those pretty fast too.
