MSNBC Poll: Do you think people should be allowed to carry guns in public?

My apologies if this has already been posted somewhere else and I just missed it.

Just took this poll. It didn't require me to log in or ask me any questions aside from the one poll question.

Only 46% believe people (citizens) should be allowed to carry guns in public. Please consider participating and get the word out on this folks - things like this tend to give the anti's more fodder in their fight to restrict our rights.

It's been out a week. My question was and is What's the ALLOWED? crap. Who exactly is the one to Allow me or anyone to carry a gun?

But once again the question is worded to get the results the poll wants. In this case i'm curious how long before it disappears.

That poll is 6 months old and has been circulated many, many times.
People keep posting about it like it’s a new poll or relevant.

Yeah. I remember commenting about the Yes option and the Only for self defense option...which is also Yes. Gotta love the people that make these polls to steer responses usually only to support the creation of a "news" article about the poll.

This is a nifty trick with polling, there are 3 answers to the question. Two of which are basically "yes" and one is "no", this way "no" always wins because "yes" is split between two choices.

Also this isn't a survey of people, its a survey of MSNBC viewers.
