I guess we'll have to see if this is really a Python or just a new Cobra with the word Python stamped on it.

Part of me really wants to see Colt do it right.

Those python at gart sports around 1994 was only 600.
    Its been 26 years already.
By doing "rule of idiot 20"

    1200 x 4% compound price increase for 6yrs

I think $1499 is about right.

According to the Westegg Inflation Calculator: What cost $600 in 1994 would cost $1026.19 in 2018. (18 is the latest year you can enter in the calculator).
So 1500 is actually a little high.

Also, how many of you geeks saw the title and thought "3.8.1 was just released, what do you mean 'coming back' "?

So 1500 is actually a little high.

I personally think 1500 is high now, and 600 was high 26 years ago.
For 1500 now, someone can get a real nice firearms.

as for 1500 relative to popular inflation and/or price indicies:

    just doing 3.5% straight 26yrs.
(without doing 3.5 for 20, and 4% for rest of 6yrs as original post due increase in hyper money supply, etc)

Why are you putting up a compound interest calculation in the context of inflationary pricing?
    My Feedback
Credit TFOGGER : Liberals only want things to be "fair and just" if it benefits them.
Credit Zundfolge: The left only supports two "rights"; Buggery and Infanticide.
Credit roberth: List of things Government does best; 1. Steal your money 2. Steal your time 3. Waste the money they stole from you. 4. Waste your time making you ask permission for things you have a natural right to own. "Anyone that thinks the communists won't turn off your power for being on COAR15 is a fucking moron."

Used forward flat rate inflation c, because % vary by year. With this printing press , my guess would be avg of 4.5 soon.

It is like asking, the freefall doesn't have a same terminal velocity!
