I cleaned the jet. Interesting about the float having a hole. How would that effect it from running though, by flooding it? How would I even check for a hole?Originally Posted by 00tec
The float wouldn't lift the fuel intake needle (dont recall the technical term) if it was unable to float. The carb couldn't "detect" that it actually had fuel and would flood.
Remove float, put in a bucket of water with a weight to test. Let it sit for a while and ensure no liquid inside.

Hmmm, that at least gives me some direction for next steps. I need to get the Trooper out of the garage first, but all the parts are either here or in the mail so hopefully that will be done soon-ish. Thanks.
Kazoo, was giving me some small engine repair tips this evening as well.
I'm still kicking myself a but for putting a $900 starbucks full auto espresso machine out to the curb instead of replacing the $120 heat exchanger/boiler.Fixed the sucka! Works like a charm. Now the wife can get her coffee fix on demand while homeschooling the kiddos and I'm at work drinking shitty coffee.
Then again, our caffeine intake was reduced significantly by using something a but more labor intensive with a more semi-auto, low capacity clipazine manual of arms.
