I cleaned the jet. Interesting about the float having a hole. How would that effect it from running though, by flooding it? How would I even check for a hole?

The float wouldn't lift the fuel intake needle (dont recall the technical term) if it was unable to float. The carb couldn't "detect" that it actually had fuel and would flood.

Remove float, put in a bucket of water with a weight to test. Let it sit for a while and ensure no liquid inside.

Hmmm, that at least gives me some direction for next steps. I need to get the Trooper out of the garage first, but all the parts are either here or in the mail so hopefully that will be done soon-ish. Thanks.

Kazoo, was giving me some small engine repair tips this evening as well.

If this whole working from home thing wasn?t cramping my style, I?d probably drag the motorcycles out and give them a sponge bath.

Did that to mine yesterday, as well as the truck and the wife’s car. Then mounted a scope.

Was the scope offended, or was it consensual?

As long as it didn?t expressly protest the act and seemed like a willing participant in the process then you should be free to mount it.

Unless one of our female members chimes in. Then I?d probably go with what she says.

Unless it?s ChickNorris. She?s batshit crazy.
